It took three samples
to finalize the design of our signature jacket
and two of them never made it out of the studio.
The final jacket may look straightforward, but getting there meant making decisions that were not always visible in the finished piece. The fabric, proportions, front construction, sleeves and small finishing details all had to work together before the jacket was ready for production.
Each sample gave us a clearer idea of what the jacket needed. Some changes were easy to notice, while others were small enough to go unnoticed unless you compared the versions side by side. Together, they shaped the fit and character of the final piece.
The Details That Made the Difference
Look closely at the three versions and the changes start to stand out.
The first jacket had a different fall and a wider opening at the front, which changed the whole shape.
The second version was closer, with a shorter length, a new sleeve shape and a few changes to the accessories.
By the third, the proportions felt more balanced and the jacket had the shape we were looking for.
Final Checks Before Production
Some of the final work was even easier to miss. The waterproof element had to be completed, the materials and details had to work together and both color versions had to be checked before production.
None of these things dramatically changed the look of the jacket on their own,
but together they helped turn three different samples into one finished piece.
